Captain Don Karnage is an antagonist in DuckTales 2017.
Background[]
In TaleSpin, Don Karnage is a wolf and the cunning leader of a band of villainous Air Pirates, and frequently crosses paths with Baloo. His goal is to plunder Cape Suzette. His secret hideout, Pirate Island, is located inside a volcano somewhere near the coastal city. In the Disney comic Rise of The Pillager Queen, it is revealed his deceased uncle was also an Air Pirate, suggesting he had a pirate upbringing.
Appearance[]
Don Karnage is a wolf with brown fur, a lighter brown muzzle, thick brows, a black nose, and his right ear is flopped. He wears black pirate hat on his head, a blue high collared tailcoat with red accents, golden shoulder pads, and golden buttons, white elbow-length gloves with golden rims, light blue pants, a red sash, and black boots with dark gray cuffs. He carries a sword (presumably a cutlass) alongside him.
Abilities[]
He is an expert sword fighter. He is also a skilled pilot, and is very clever, often devising a large array of plans with varying effectiveness.
Personality[]
Don Karnage is a narcissistic, prideful, flamboyant, and devious, yet insane and childish pirate who loves to steal treasure but he loves to be the center of attention more. Often times he tends to lash out on even the most minimal of issues during his crew's singing performance, even to the point of willingly throwing one of them out of their plane. Though to be fair, his crew is mostly amateurish and Karnage is typically the one quick to point out whenever something goes wrong.

- Don Karnage, the Iron Vulture, and the Air Pirates were all featured in the 1990s Disney Afternoon shows TaleSpin.
- On TaleSpin, Don Karnage was voiced by Jim Cummings, who also voices/has voiced many other Disney characters.
- When asked about Karnage's nationality, Jim Cummings said: "He's got some Cuban and some Spanish and a little Ricky Ricardo". He also later in the same interview stated Karnage also has a little French in him.
Don Karnage in Lunaris Monitor in Moonvasion
- In "Moonvasion!", Lunaris Monitor placed Karnage living somewhere in South America
- While Don Karnage stated he fears bears in The Lost Cargo of Kit Cloudkicker!, he doesn't seem to be afraid of Kit Cloudkicker, despite the latter being a bear. However, its possible he was referring exclusively to non-anthropomorphic bears.
- Don Karnage's fate is unknown after The Last Adventure! as he never appears after his FOWL plane crashes outside the Library of Alexandria, implying but not confirming that he died in the crash.
- According to Francisco Angones, Don Karnage in the DuckTales reboot is not the same Don Karnage as the one in TaleSpin, but someone who is taking on the legacy title.
