Peter Griffin in Family Guy mimicking Scrooge

DuckTales is an iconic TV show that has been parodied and referenced in various other media. Most references include a character diving in gold coins in a similar fashion to Scrooge McDuck.

Animaniacs[]

  • In "Opportunity Knox", when Pinky and Brain arrive at Fort Knox, Pinky looks around and says, "This is even better than a 'DuckTales' episode!"
  • During the song "Reboot It" in the reboot, DuckTales is mentioned.

Chip N Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022)[]

  • When Chip n Dale (Pretending at Plumbers) They're going to look for the watch that Sweet Pete has In a Russian Bath Scroge McDuck appears as a cameo Swimming the Money
  • When The FBI Releases Pirated Toons Lauchpad McQuack appears Cursed
  • At the end of the credits Scrooge McDuck Appears as a Drawing on Banknotes with the 2017 Design In Fuzzy Fights

Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie Appear on Poster Along with Disney Afternoon Characters With The Design of 1987 Called "Disney Afternoon Fight Fest".

DC Super Hero Girls (2019)[]

  • When Barbara Gordon transforms into Batgirl, her costume colors are similar to The Masked Mallard Because of the purple color, the boots, the gloves and the yellow belt.

Arthur[]

  • In "Arthur Accused!", Arthur is seen diving into the pile of quarters in Buster's fantasy which is very similar to Scrooge McDuck's iconic money dive.

Breadwinners[]

  • In the episode, "My Fair Frog", one of the challenges of the pageant was to dive into a pool of coins. Most of the frogs did not succeed but Foo-Foo and Jelly did. The latter on a horse.

Clarence[]

  • In "Clarence's Millions", Clarence dreams of swimming in money is a parody to the DuckTales intro. The music also sounds very similar to the famous DuckTales theme song.

Family Guy[]

  • In "Lottery Fever", Peter imitates Scrooge McDuck's diving into his money vault only to find himself seriously injured and the fact that he can't swim in as shown in the comics.
  • In "Heart Burn" Peter asks if they can get Hercules on the show since Disney owns Fox, he's told that they can only get Launchpad McQuack.

The Goldbergs[]

  • In "A Wall Street Thanksgiving", DuckTales is mentioned.

Lupin III[]

  • In "A Trap for a Trap!" the antagonist Don Kecchi takes a habit of swimming in his money as Scrooge has often done.

MAD[]

  • In "First White House Down / McDuck Dynasty" the sketch "McDuck Dynasty" is a parody of between DuckTales and Duck Dynasty.

OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes[]

  • In the episode "No More Pow Cards", Mr. Cardsley is seen swimming in coins is a reference to how Scrooge McDuck swims in his money bin in DuckTales.

Mickey Mouse (2013)[]

  • Scrooge McDuck Huey Dewey and Louie appeared in some episodes

Robot Chicken[]

  • The episode "Poisoned by Relatives" features a segment called "Malice in the Making" where DuckTales is mentioned.
  • In Darkwing Duck Hunt Scrooge McDuck Launchpad McQuack Huey Dewey Louie and Darkwing Duck appear Parodying the "Duck Hunt" Video Game.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[]

  • In "Mild Meld", Leo says that he wants a new nickname, he suggests "Blue Bluey". This, confirmed by Ben Schwartz on his Twitter, is a nod to Dewey Duck from the reboot, whom he also voices.

The Simpsons[]

  • In a comic segment from "Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders" a DuckTales parody is seen called "DuffTales"
  • A Simpsons comic called "Uncle Burn$" is a parody of Carl Barks' Uncle Scrooge comics.

SpongeBob SquarePants[]

  • Mr. Krabs' nephews in the episode "Stanley S. SquarePants" are a parody of Donald Duck's nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, and that they solve mysteries, a parody of their role in the series.
  • In "Goodbye, Krabby Patty?", Mr. Krabs is seen swimming in a pool of coins is an homage to Scrooge McDuck.
  • In "Sandy's Nutty Nieces", Sandy's nieces look identical and act to how Huey, Duey, and Louie looked and acted.

Steven Universe[]

  • In "Onion Trade", Steven's advice for surviving Onion's Dave Guy pool is to "try and act like a rich duck", referring to Scrooge McDuck and his ability to swim through the money in his massive vault
  • In "The Question", The logo for the comic book "Dolphin Tail" is based off of the logo for the series.

Teen Titans Go![]

  • In "The Date", Beast Boy dreams of becoming a millionaire, his dream references the series.
  • In "Missing", The song "We're Rich" uses the exact same tune as the theme song. References to the lyrics are also made, and the name "Scrooge McDuck" is explicitly stated onscreen.
  • In "Black Friday", Scrooge McDuck is mentioned, and Starfire is seen wearing his hat and monocle.
  • In "Genie President", The 'Rich Duck' Raven acknowledges, as well as the Titans (except Starfire) attempting to swim in the pennies is a reference to Scrooge McDuck. A Scrooge look-alike also appears as well, though he's unable to swim.
    • Double reference to how Raven and the boys getting horrendously hurt after leaping onto the pile of coins, referencing the Family Guy reference

Tiny Toons Adventures[]

  • In "Journey to the Center of Acme Acres", Plucky is seen swimming through Monty's gold coin vault.
  • In "Best O' Plucky Duck Day", Buster says "Today we're presenting three hysterical duck tales", to which Plucky remarks, "Don't use that word!", prompting Buster to reword that line.

Young Sheldon[]

  • In "Pilot", as Sheldon and Missy watch Prof. Proton on TV, Missy complains about watching this instead of DuckTales, but Sheldon tells her it's not educational.
